TERMS & IMPORTANT DISCLOSURES

Useful guidance—without pretending it is professional advice.

Please read this before purchasing or relying on an Acquisition Quest result. The short version: Acquisition Quest helps you organize an early investigation. It does not verify the deal or make the decision for you.

Educational service only

Acquisition Quest provides automated educational screening, calculations, explanations, research context, questions, and organizational tools for people considering a business purchase. Nothing on the website, in an email, report, Deal Brief, workspace, or support message is legal, tax, accounting, lending, appraisal, insurance, environmental, real-estate, or investment advice—or a recommendation to buy, sell, offer, borrow, or proceed.

What the results are based on

Results may combine information entered by the user, seller- or broker-reported claims, editable assumptions, Acquisition Quest formulas, specifically identified outside sources, and constrained automated analysis. These categories should remain visibly separate. Acquisition Quest does not independently audit, inspect, appraise, underwrite, authenticate, or verify the information supplied.

Missing, inaccurate, and changing information

A result can be incomplete or wrong when an input is incomplete, wrong, outdated, inconsistent, or misunderstood. Listings and seller statements are marketing claims until supported. Public records and demographic or industry sources can contain estimates, reporting delays, geographic limitations, small samples, or errors. Interest rates, program rules, property conditions, competition, operating performance, and other circumstances can change after a report is created.

No valuation, approval, or promised outcome

An asking-price comparison is not a valuation. A modeled payment or debt-coverage result is not lender approval. Projected cash, profit, equity, net worth, or performance is not guaranteed and may not occur. Acquisition Quest does not determine whether a business is safe, suitable, affordable, financeable, compliant, or worth purchasing.

Your responsibility before acting

You are responsible for checking inputs, obtaining source documents, investigating the opportunity, protecting confidential information, and deciding whether to proceed. Before signing an offer, letter of intent, purchase agreement, lease, note, guaranty, or other commitment—or transferring money—use appropriately licensed or qualified attorneys, accountants, tax professionals, lenders, appraisers, inspectors, insurance professionals, environmental professionals, and industry specialists.

Paid reports and refunds

A paid report purchases an automated analysis of the information available at the time. It does not purchase a favorable conclusion, successful financing, professional opinion, or completed due-diligence review. The price, included deliverables, access window, follow-up analysis allowance, renewal terms, and applicable refund terms must be shown before payment. Payment-provider receipts and Acquisition Quest fulfillment messages are separate records.

Automated analysis and outside sources

Automated analysis is instructed to use only the supplied report packet and approved, cited research. Safeguards reduce unsupported claims but cannot eliminate every error. Outside context must be dated and attributed; it should never be treated as business-specific proof, a comparable-sales appraisal, a customer forecast, or a substitute for parcel-level and professional review.

Availability and changes

Features may be prototypes, delayed, modified, suspended, or discontinued. We may correct errors and update these terms as the product develops. A material paid-service change should be presented before a new purchase or renewal. Your report should preserve the assumptions, sources, date, and disclosure version used when it was generated.
